The series will consist of many different topics such as how to skirt fleeces for show and processing, hands on alpaca care and maintenance, how to present your animal correctly in the show ring, and many other topics to be announced. Presented by Cheryl Gehly AOBA Fleece Judge

This is a hands –on, in depth day focusing on alpaca fiber. Learn how to prepare and put your fleece’s best qualities forward. Cheryl will explain how to skirt a fleece and present it at a show Cheryl will cover fleece characteristics as they relate to showing and judging, how to interpret fleece show results AND incorporate them into breeding decisions or herd sire selections. Participants can bring their own fleece or fleeces will be provided.
Cheryl Gehly came to the alpaca world with a background of 25 years in education and has been an AOBA Certified Fleece Judge since 2002. In her workshops, she combines her skills as an educator and fiber judge to bring the participants a wealth of relevant and valuable information to apply to their breeding programs and fiber pursuits.
